Decoding Climate Finance: Insights from Our Seminar at South Asian University

The Faculty of Economics, South Asian University (SAU) recently hosted an insightful seminar on “The NCQG: Decoding the Decision”, featuring expert discussions on the evolving landscape of climate finance. In collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Centre of Excellence on Climate Change, Green Transition and Sustainability and the Faculty of Economics, SAU.

We had the privilege of hearing from Ms. Chandni Raina , Advisor, Ministry of Finance , Government of India, as our keynote speaker, who has been a key figure in shaping India’s stance on international trade and climate negotiations. She shared valuable insights on the New Collective Quantified Goal (NCQG) and the challenges in ensuring equitable and predictable climate financing. Adding further to the discussion was Prof. Pooran Chandra Pandey, Chair of the Interdisciplinary Centre on Climate Change at SAU, who has been in leadership roles at the United Nations, The Times Of India, and the DOC Research Institute, Berlin.
A special mention to Dr. Binoy Goswami from the Faculty of Economics, whose efforts in organizing and moderating the seminar ensured a seamless and enriching dialogue.
